FAQs

  • You’re welcome to start as soon as you find out that you are pregnant, depending on how you feel. Some first trimesters mamas are nauseous or lightheaded, and need more rest. Our classes are safe for all trimesters, and you’ll meet lots of other mothers further along to connect with and learn from.

  • Definitely once per week if not twice per week. Remember, you are training your body and mind. its about maintenance and carrying your practice into everyday life.

  • We’ve had plenty of mamas go into labor soon after class and that’s because our classes are designed to encourage baby into a great position, relax the body, and open the pelvis. As long as you’re not in an active labor, you’re welcome to join class and practice!

  • The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends starting postpartum specific workouts within days of giving birth. We want you to rest, give your body and break, and bond with your baby first, then join us 2-3 weeks post birth to assist your body healing in a safe, supported and effective program.

  • Babies gone cry. And that’s ok, that’s how they communicate. If your baby makes noise or cries in class, you’re welcome todo whatever feels right for you. Whether that’s holding, feeding, rocking, or changing your baby, we’re here for it!

  • Then this is the perfect time to start. Your teacher will assist you by modeling, cuing and offering adjustments when needed. You are more than welcome to practice no matter what you experience with yoga might be.

  • Each classes maxes out at 5-8 participants depending on the location. Our class sizes are small to ensure safe workouts and intimate conversations.

Megan, second time mama

“Easiest thing ever (minus those contractions holy shit) so you were right - my body could handle it! Made it through and only had to have one stitch. I’m going to credit the yoga for opening everything up :).”

Ting, first time mama

“My water broke right after Thursday’s yoga class.

My ob said I might be one of the best first time pusher she has seen in her career. I think that’s all that yoga I have been doing…! Really great breathing exercises and control of my muscles.”

Peyton, second time mama

“I can’t wait to be back for postpartum classes!

Thank you for a great prenatal yoga experience!”
